About The Recruitment Process
Applicants, whether new or returning, are required to complete an online application form. If successful, candidates will be invited to a group assessment.
We have an on-going recruitment process. There are monthly rounds of applications, known as “deadlines”. It is still possible to apply after these deadlines however, we advise that you submit your application as soon as possible as this increases your chances of being offered a role matching your preferred locations and dates.
Submitting a supporting video
We would like to see the person behind the written application and ask candidates to submit a supporting video with a short introduction of yourself and your experiences, no longer than two minutes. Video upload is optional but it very strongly encouraged as we fast-track applicants with a supporting video. It is a chance to bring your CV to life and to explain in more detail why you would like to work on NCS.

Obtaining a DBS
Our organisation is committed to obtaining a DBS (formerly CRB) for all staff. We organise and cover the cost of obtaining a DBS and so we require candidates to upload the relevant paperwork online.
Applying for more than one role
Candidates can apply for more than one role. If successful we will choose which role we think you are best suited for and assess you at this level.
Successful and unsuccessful applications
It can take up to 3 weeks for us to screen and reply to candidates. Regardless of whether you are successful or not you will receive an email from us. If it has been longer than 3 weeks please contact the Staffing Team.
If successful and have not been offered a conditional role, you will be invited to a group assessment with us.

2016 Summer Returning Staff
If you have worked on a placement in 2016 and are applying for the same role then all you need to do is:
Login using the same username and password, check your personal information is correct in the ‘My Profile’ section. Then you can head to the ‘My Application’ page and answer the questions – some questions will be pre-filled . You will be offered a conditional place and won’t need to attend an assessment day, subject to DBS check and training.
The process is similar if you are going for a different role, except less questions will be pre-filled and you might need to attend an assessment.
